Photography Concept and Styling - LA MELODIE DU BONHEUR

I got this "word" from Céline from Bohème Circus blog. I got words of French song by Benjamin Biolay. The song is called La Melodie du Bonheur. It is also the French name of the very famous film...C'est l'air du temps...from past to present and future to come. For some reason I went to the world of quotes and dreamy feelings. It is not always easy to explain process why everything happens - this time it just happened. But one thing is sure. Be open. Try. Trust your intuition.

This post is part of my Photography Concept and Styling post series. You can find older ones here. I started making them in March 2013.

I decided to photograph my plants a little bit. The plan was to show you what I've been doing. Nothing big or nothing special. But one plan for this summer I have. I wish I don't have to buy salad from the grocery. I wish I can use only salad from my garden. We'll see how my wish come true! Do you have a garden? What you have planted there? What kind of garden is your dream garden?

My dream garden is green, rich and full of flavors, scents and colors. There are beautiful flowers like Helleborus, Hydrangea, Poppies, different kind of old roses, Clematis, Columbine flower, Peonies and different kind of herbs and vegetables. It's a place where I can work and rest when ever I want to.

Is It Vintage - Emilia

photo by Kreetta Järvenpää

I'm telling you again about Raija Uosikkinen and Arabia. You know me. I love vintage and good design in old tableware. Design is Emilia. It is made in 1950's and it's decoration was inspired by Raija Uosikkinen's aunt's life in America.

My cup is missing the plate and it's also a little bit broken. I got it with very cheap price at one flea market. I think this cup is sweet with delicate charm.

Usually I like to photograph in daylight - aren't we all - but this time I decided to photograph late in the evening. Or actually it was almost twelve o'clock at night. I wanted to use light what we have here in Finland this time of the year. Amazing light.

I was making also ice cream but it's not in the cup, as you see...I ate it already. Have to do a new one and photograph it!

There's something magical in this light.

Garden party DIY

Hello my reader - how are you? Yesterday I made a post even though it's not my "blogging" day but as I have promised one Photography Concept and Styling in month...I hope you have time to check out the photo essee of my word recollection.

DIY by www.gretchengretchen.com photo by Kreetta Järvenpää

Today I give you a garden hint. In my little garden I have had problems with snails and birds. My 3 strawberry plants has produced some but birds has eaten them all. I have seen people using reflecting cd's above strawberries so as you see I made a little bit more stylish version of it. There's no proof that it works but doesn't it look so cute! It's fun decoration for garden also. Do you have great or fun ideas to decorate the garden? I like to hear if you do!

All you need is

* string
* wooden sticks
* 2 nails and hammer or just pins
* x-mas lametta

I guess you can see how it's done from the picture. You can also make differently this is only a starting point. Have a happy week!
