Oh Iceland. In near future you will see in my blog many posts of this country and food photography workshop in Reykjavik. I also will show you north Finland and some vintage treasures for sure. At the moment it is also the best time of the year to photograph in garden so you might see that too - not forgetting DIY. Well back to Iceland...I photographed a lot in workshop and on a bus tour. I have to admit, I fell in love with Iceland. It truly is the country of fire and ice. Strange, unbelievable, international but rough and small.
There is a lot of light on summer
time that you should take your eye shades with you. I
couldn't sleep well, I was too excited about everything. Loved every
minute of it. When I came back home I slept straight away many hours,
haha..and still trying to get rid of the tiredness. But it was worth it!!!
We made a great bus tour on Snæfellsnes. It's a little bit north from Reykjavik. It was raining when we left from Reykjavik. The bus tour took 13 hours so there were, sunny moments and rainy too. Wind was blowing quite strongly. We saw sheeps, Icelandic horses, seals and small houses next to mountains and yes, lot of mountains.
We visited beautiful fishing village Stykkishólmur. Lovely details, restaurants, boats, old houses, mountains and top of those sun gave us nice soft light.
I hope you enjoyed the tour! Let's fly high this weekend!

ReplyDeleteI used my new Sigma 50mm 1.4 to close ups. Other photos I took with Canon 100mm L 2.8 macro lens. That white house and horses are taken through bus window ;)
@Mel
It was a long day. Luckily I was so tired that it was just great to sit in the bus whole day. Took nap time to time, haha. They have quite narrow roads there too so it was also easier comparing to drive a rented car...
must have been a great trip. interesting country and your photos are really good!
ReplyDeleteHej Britt-Marie! It was, you have to go there some time, or have you already been? I like to go again...mysterious land...Thank you !
