Today I was sitting in the car in traffic jam and I only could think one thing - food. Hot dog. It's very trendy, I know. Street food.
Cherry
trees in bloom. Blackbirds are singing. We sit in the garden, what else
you need? Today our new tradition was born - Hanami Hot Dog.
Actually Hanami hot dog halves.
Wild edibles found from our garden...I don't know the name of it...
Rye bread hot dog.
Strawberries with cherry flowers and fresh mint.
They last so short time. Cherry flowers. But they bring a promise of the summer.

Looks lovely and yummy :)
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely photos - truly summery! The name of the little blue flowers is veronica, tädykkeet in Finish. We have lots of it in our garden, spread like soft pillows under bushes and trees (and I use it to pretty up salads).
ReplyDeleteThank you Kristen! It's so wonderful to have the early summer here.
ReplyDeleteThank you Juliane! I found a name in Finnish it is maahumala...and in English Ground-ivy. I'm not sure if we are talking about same plant :)
ReplyDeleteOh Kreetta what a lovely documentary of a special moment. The hot dogs look sooo good and the table so pretty. M xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Mel! I think we are so lucky with warm weather in May!
