I'm looking for

I'm thinking my life at the moment. What it is and what I want it to be? I guess we have keys to our happiness in our own hands. But sometimes the hand is shaky and it's too hard to focus. And sometimes even though you try and try - you can't reach it. So what do you do?

It's like when I start to paint, I have something in my mind but when I've painted for a while - I lose the red thread and get frustrated. When I get frustrated - I want to start from the beginning... Our painting class teacher says that you have to paint few paintings same time otherwise it's so easy to overdo it if you know what I mean. So when you get stuck with one you can continue with the other one. Quite simple but sometimes hard to remember.

So is this a good advice in our daily life too? When you get stuck with one question or thing in your life - do something else? And never have only one project or thing or whatever going on? Don't think that only one thing can be the answer. Don't forget the other possibilities. You have a lot to choose from if you just give yourself time and possibility. I think this is a very good thing to remember.

Can you follow my thoughts?

What do you think at the moment?

If you want to see more thoughts of many go and see them here in my pinterest table called (should) you (know) think.

Have a lovely day!

Photography Concept and Styling - CIRCUS

Circus photo by www.kreettajarvenpaa.com www.gretchengretchen.com

This time the word is my own. It's Circus. I love the frayed world of it. I love also ceramics, acryl painting and vintage. Here they are all together. I used Raku technique with ceramics. Ceramic pearls are painted with acrylic paint like the backround. You can also find old vintage pearls that are my faves too. I just got them this weekend from our friend Anne. Thank you!

© Kreetta's husband - I love this photo...soon he is better photographer than me!

We had very beautiful warm and sunny weekend and I just had to make a video. I used Final Cut X to edit. As I have told you I had 30 days trial of it. But not any more. So I made a video in a last minute. I'm so happy I made it!

I shooted this video at our pergola and of course it's about tomatoes! There are plenty now and I love them! I asked my husband to help me and because he likes to cook - he really could help me. I promised not to show his face :) So here we go! Fresh tomato sauce for your eyes only.

Sooo...how was it?

It's a very easy recipe - are you going to try it? I think we found it from one food magazine - don't remember exactly. It was few years ago. And by the way we didn't use parmesan but of course you can!

How are you? Have you been in forest lately? It's so relaxing place to be.

This week has been my first one at work and I have to admit I'm now a little bit tired. It's so different what I have had. But I'm sure next week will be easier. It is just how it goes. I hope you enjoyed my forest essay and have a lot of energy to make something what you love this weekend.

I wonder how old are these? The package is lovely. Simple and ordinary things can look beautiful. I think I bought these lovely ones from flea market. I've been in so many places that it is hard to remember where I bought and what I bought...I've noticed that this Is It Vintage post series is my favorite. What do you think about it?

Friday - the first day at work was full of new things. Tomorrow it will all begin in real speed and I sure you it takes time to get use to it.

I wish you very a creative and wonderful week!

What's up with my blog?

tomatoes blog: www.gretchengretchen.com photo: www.kreettajarvenpaa.com
my tomatoes
First of all I'm so happy about my tomatoes! And I know you have heard about them few times before but you know when you put time and effort to something and it just doesn't work and lot of waiting...you are happy when things goes well!

My real news are very quickly said. I'm going back to my daily job tomorrow. Yes, Friday is the best day to start your work. Isn't it? Only one day and then you have a weekend. Don't you agree?

It's been a while I've been working so I have to catch up what has happened there. I work as a photographer so it might be that after I have been photographing the whole day I won't have time and inspiration to do so much in the evenings - I mean my blog - but we'll see how it goes. I have posted 1-2 times per week my blog so I will continue at least 1 per week. As you know I do a lot of  photographing to my blog. I hope I can keep my post's quality here for you to read and enjoy. But I guess we all agree about one thing - it hasn't been perfect and it doesn't have to be perfect. Small flaws makes things - interesting. That I heard this week.

I'm so happy I've met here in blogosphere so many interesting and lovely people. I've seen beautiful work and read great writings. I hope I have still time to come and see all your lovely work and hear your newest news!

And speaking about lovely people - it reminds me about Mel who has blog called Armoire Pegs & Casserole. On Wednesday I was honored to show my work space in her blog series My Space. Mel lives far far away in New Zealand. So as you can see the world is much smaller when we blog. I was lucky I had just cleaned up my work space when she asked me to make few photos...of course I don't show everything and you know why? Well, yes didn't clean it all, haha.

My life changes tomorrow but are things changing in your life? Autumn brings new things, doesn't it?

ps. I will make another video - I still have time before my trial time ends ;) Have to have time for that.

Joy Hunt - Weekend in Tallinn

Hello, hello there!

Tallinn photo:www.kreettajarvenpaa.com blog:www.gretchengretchen.com

How are you? It's Monday - again. Day after a busy weekend is usually a little bit lazy and slow. We had a great time in Tallinn with my friend. We went there by boat that is very easy way to get there from Helsinki. It takes only two hours. But boat travelling to me means usually that I'm on the waves for few days after...like at the moment I'm sitting on the sofa and waves comes and goes...if you know what I mean.

Tallinn photo:www.kreettajarvenpaa.com blog:www.gretchengretchen.com

Tallin is city of contrats. Old meets new and decadence meets shiny and sleek. We visited also Kumu - Art Museum of Estonia. It was built next to beautiful old buildings and next to the beautiful Kadriorg Park. I wanted to see Irving Penn's exhibition. He is The photographer.

Kalamaja area is trendy one at the moment. If you are hipster in Tallinn - you live there. We went there for a dinner. Kolm Sibulat is a new restaurant at Tellsikivi 2 and it was worth to find. I heard about it from one of my friends. We ate well and dinner was lovely. You can find their menu from here. New places are born all the time and you have always reason to come back. Like this time we didn't have time to visit this place - Nop Tallinn. Maybe next time because organic food is near my heart.

If you are interested about crafts - you have to go to Karnalux. It's a heaven. I bought threads, alpaca knitting yearn and feathers. I'm planning to make few dream catchers for X-mas. Maybe I have few of them in my shop that I'm planning to open later this autumn. I know I just cleaned my work space and promised not to buy anything for a while...but couldn't resist. My friend bought so many balls of yarn and she has great plans and I'm sure they will be awesome! I have only one plan - a woolly hat.

Tallinn photo:www.kreettajarvenpaa.com blog:www.gretchengretchen.com

In Saturday evening after dinner we walked back to our hotel and saw these cyclists. It's great to see bicycle culture is getting stronger everywhere - I hope.

I wish you found some interesting things or spots in my short story of Tallinn. Have a lovely week! I also wish I don't have to "sail" all the week :)
