Iceland vol 4 - Picnic on Videy Island

Hello! Here I am and this is my last Iceland photo story from this summer. Oh, that country is worth to see. During the food photography workshop we had a great opportunity to visit Videy island in front of Reykjavik. We were hosted by Aslaug Snorradottir. She and our workshop teacher Aran Goyoaga made and styled us a perfect picnic.

Aslaug used wild edibles in cooking and those plants and herbs look absolutely adorable in pics too.

Like always - in some point - it's time to go home. I was sooo sleepless in Iceland but I will remember this trip as very good one. I think I was too excited to go to sleep, haha. This kind of things give me something that we all need - inspiration. Good spirit and attitude to your daily life. I also met so many lovely ladies. I hope we see some day again!

One thing more about the news I heard this week. They were sad news from my previous working place. Too many people have lost their jobs and I feel so sad about it. There's nothing I can do except tell them I'm more than sorry...

I wish you strength to carry on and I want to wish you all very relaxing and healing weekend!

  1. Looks awesome and the photos are very nice! I am quite sleepless too recently and when I am finally in the bed (even for few hours) it feels like heaven on earth! ;D So sad, to hear about your friends, but sometimes changes are for the best - so fingers crossed it will all be fine. Have a great weekend xo

  2. Hi Aga!
Yes, I usually sleep quite well if I'm not too excited :) I do believe changes gives us new goals and directions...it just might take time before you are able to start new things...Thanks for commenting!

It was a great experience! Actually I got very good sleep this weekend because i was visiting my friend's cottage. A lot of mushroom picking, good dinners. I also dipped in lake when we were in sauna. A bit cold the water was... ;)
