In our daily life it is very fashionable to say that I've been soooo busy. I don't want to say it but this time - I have to say it. So many things have been going on lately and so many wonderful things!

I decided to have garden party this summer because I wanted to celebrate my birthday. It is in January but you don't want to have garden party then...haha.

I invited my family, friends and we spent a lovely evening in our garden. I expecially invited my family before the party that we had time to play a little bit with flowers and sausages...I'm not going to tell you about sausages but about flowers yes.

I was too excited about being a hostess so I could not concentrate making garland - instead I took photos. But couldn't concentrate that either, haha.

So we made it! It was so beautiful and look at those colors! Our lovely flower workshop teacher was Ingela from Flora Varia.

We had so many flowers that Ingela also made a decoration for the table. Here are three very different jugs and vase. They were perfect compination. I got the glass jug from my dear friends for my birthday present.

I didn't have time to photograph the flower garland more carefully because as I told you, I had very busy day - lovely day. I was surrounded by very lovely and special people and I have to say that I'm so lucky to have them in my world.

Have a lovely weekend my friend!

  1. I so love this post, Kreetta! The flower garland looks adorable - my fingers really start itching while typing this, thinking of all the flowers in our garden!

I can very much relate to the feeling of being a winter child and wanting a garden party! My birthday is end of February, and this year, my dream came true and we finally HAD a garden party.

Like you, with lots of flowers, cake, sausages - minus a few degrees though, it was a grey and wintry day, but everyone dressed accordingly and we had lots of woollen blankets and a huge bonfire. And like you, I didn't have much time to take photos of all the pretty flower decorations and cakes, but here you can see a wee glimpse.

Sending you a summer breeze from Skåne,

    Juliane

  2. Hello Juliane!

Thank you! Sounds so lovely - your winter garden party. Maybe I will have my winter party someday too - of course it's tempting because it's different...I like to have a circus with fire and color lights in my garden. Big plans, haha.

Thanks for commenting and I wish you a very lovely Sunday!
